Typical Christmas dishes

Although Mallorca is an island, it is also a land of farming tradition. Have you ever tried “sopa rellena de Nadal” (Christmas soup) or “coca de Torró”?
It is typical to celebrate by starting with a “sopa rellena de Nadal” before eating the “porcella” cooked over a wood fire and finishing with the “coca de torró”. Others will choose almond soup or pork tenderloin with chocolate.
Here is the recipe for pork tenderloin with Granada sauce so you can explore the flavours of the island.
As is well known, Spain has a great culinary richness within which Mallorcan cuisine also has its chapter. As an example, we recommend “Recetas de cocina mallorquina” by Maria Taberner Tomás in Roig i Montserrat editions, but there are many more.
Merry Christmas to all of you and bon appetit!
